Luminosity Launched to the Public at the International Builders Show in Las Vegas, Offering Production Home Builders an Interactive 2D/3D Design Tool for Lighting, Electrical & Home Technology

On February 19, 2019, Las Vegas was rocked by a snow storm (more of a flurry) and the launch of our new Luminosity program at the International Builders Show! Both events were unexpected yet awe-inspiring.  

 

The main theme from this year’s International Builders Show was the prevalence and continuous emergence of smart home technologies and products in the home building industry. There was a time when construction was the last industry to adapt, however, home builders have now realized how important it is to embrace technology. This shift will allow them to reap the rewards of providing a better consumer experience and cutting-edge products to new home buyers.  

 

With this in mind, we can confidently say that Luminosity is perfect for production home builders looking to not only catch up with today’s smart home leaders, but to get ahead. Our IBS booth was designed to showcase Luminosity as a unique lighting, electrical, and home technology design program while enticing IBS attendees to ask questions.

What does Luminosity have to do with cars? Its founding inspiration.  

At Aterra, we took the online design experience from the top automobile companies and replicated it for lighting in new homes. We then took it further by tying each of the components into the supply chain so that what you see is what you get since the products and detailed documentation are all tied together.

Can I use the touch-screen table for demos at my design studio/office? Of course! 

Luminosity is a web-based tool which allows it to be used virtually anywhere there is internet access. Its program is compatible with laptops, iPads, mobile phones (although we don’t recommend this approach due to screen size), and finally on a touch-screen table. We had ours custom made but are happy to share the information. 

What makes this program different from other home rendering software? Where do we begin??
